STAINED CONCRETE
STAINED CONCRETE

What is Concrete Staining?

Stained concrete is a process where a liquid stain is poured, brushed or sprayed onto the concrete surface. It takes either a chemical reaction (acid stain) or penetration (dyes and water based stains) to achieve the desired colour and effect.

Where can I use it?

Concrete stains can be used on any cementitious surface to produce mottled and variegated colours from opaque to translucent. Stains can be used on horizontal and vertical surfaces alike, both indoor and outdoors, on surfaces not subject to abrasion or overly heavy traffic.

What are the options?

  • Chemical or acid stains react with the cured concrete to enrich the surfaces with natural and unique beauty.
  • Hydro or waterborne stains penetrate the surface of the concrete to give a chip free floor that will not discolour like ordinary paints.
  • Colours and shades offer great visual effects in tune with current trends for contemporary flooring that satisfies both designers and clients alike.
